Style with a colormap

Gradients are fine for a quick visualisation but a colormap is much more expressive.

  1. From your Above Ground Biomass layer card, select Edit layer.
  2. Scroll down to Data visualisation and select Add colormaps. The colormap editor opens.
  3. Pick a colormap and adjust the min and max values to match your data.
  4. Save the colormap and then Save the layer card. You are returned to the read-only layer view.
  5. Preview your layer. The colormap now takes precedence over the earlier gradient legend.

Gradient vs colormap

The gradient definition remains on the layer card, but the colormap takes precedence at render time. Delete the gradient if you no longer want to keep it as a fallback.

See Colormaps for the full colormap reference.
